Create an additional test referral

You can create a new test referral for a patient you've tested before.

Each test requires a separate referral for tracking and sending to the lab.

  1. Search and select the patient's record from the top right search
  2. Find the Patient Referrals panel
    • The HOME panel view includes the Patient Referrals panel.
    • To switch panel views, select the current panel view name in the top right corner, for example, My Patient View.
  3. Select Three line panel menu icon.
  4. Choose Create Referral
  5. Add a Test Form
    • Select Add New Document
    • Double-click the Forms folder to expand it
    • Double-click the Antigen COVID-19 Test Form to open it
    • Select Close Draft to add it to the referral
  6. Add a Lab Result form
    • Select Add New Document
    • Double-click the Forms folder to expand it
    • Double-click the Antigen COVID-19 Test Lab Result form to open it
    • Select Close Draft to add it to the referral
  7. Add a Patient Insurance form
    • If the patient's medical insurance information has not changed since their last test, select Link Existing Document and choose the latest Patient Insurance Details form
    • If the patient's medical insurance information has changed:
      • Select Add New Document
      • Double-click the Forms folder to expand it
      • Double-click the Patient Insurance Details form to open it
      • Select Close Draft to add it to the referral
  8. Select Save Draft

Now your team has a test referral ready for when the patient arrives.

Also, the patient can fill out the new Test Form โ€” and the Patient Insurance Details form if you added a new one โ€” by logging into their patient portal.
